Family Reunion

This post may be a bit confusing. And I am not trying to stir the pot, but I am also not trying to step on eggshells. After all, this is my family blog.

Stay with me if you can...

My dad has been married three times. To three wonderful women. All different. But each have brought something special into our lives. Siblings. Whether they be blood, half or step siblings, I love each and every one of them!

My dad divorced his second wife and she unfortunately passed away years ago. With her passing, we (I) lost touch with our/my step siblings. We would reach out to one another a few time over the years. Birthdays, deaths, babies, adoptions, divorces, etc. We each went through hard times in our lives and we would all try to reach out to each other, but life gets complicated. People grow in different directions and life gets busy. We have always called each other step siblings, even though the common denomintaor of our parents being married was no longer there. We had that sibling bond.

Well, in August, one of our step siblings JayDee was getting married. We (Me, Ty, Ash and Houston) were all invited to attend. We were all excited to see each other after 8 years apart. It was kind of a family reunion in sorts.

The wedding was beautiful and it was a lot of fun to catch up with each other. We were almost able to get a picture of EVERYONE togther. The bride, Jade and her groom Ryan, were busy enjoying their wedding, but we were able to sneak in a picture.

Thank you again for inviting us all!

I believe family is more than just blood, and I'm glad to see you all attended the reception. Brittany, you look so beautiful! And of course you have a gorgeous little girl.
