Last but not least....What a WONDERFUL weekend!

We had such a busy fun filled weekend!

On Friday, Grandma Vickie came over to babysit during the day while I got a haircut. Nick and I also had an appointment later that day. Thank you Grandma V for all of your help! We know Aver's had a wonderful time with you.

On Saturday morning, we woke up and took the dogs for a LONG walk with Avery in tow in her stroller. The pups walked almost all the way off leash. They are finally getting out of their puppy stage and are maturing into the most adorable kids ever. (Poor Monte is a walking pharmacy again. He has a bacteria infection in his skin, a double yeast infection in his ears and his skin allergies have flared up AGAIN! Poor Bubba!)

After, we walked to Eggs in The City for breakfast. If you have not tried this place, it is delicious and worth the wait. It is in our neighborhood and so so yummy.

We later went to The Farmer's Market, walked to The Gateway from there and did some shopping, then headed over to The Art's Festival. Avery did such a wonderful job with all of our activities. We love going to The Art's Festival every year. Although it seemed not as many vendor's were there, it was still a very fun experience. We bought Avery a reversible snap dress and reversible sun hat. Something you would NEVER find in a department store.

Aunt Linds came over that night to babysit so we could head out with our friend Tira. We have not seen her in over a year! She was the one that set us up and now look...we are about to get hitched. Thank you Tirs! We love you.

Then, today we took Grandma V out to brunch for her birthday. We went to Trio and it was delish! I had the pregnancy pizza. (Erika, I may have a food baby tonight. We will see. ;-)) We had sooooo many errands to run to prepare for our summer trip, so Grandma offered to babysit. We got so much done. Thank you again Vickie. Grandma Teri came by later in the day to get her Avery fix. (Geez Ave, you are way too popular.)

It was such a busy but such a fun weekend. We are flying out to San Diego on Tuesday, so I will have lots and lots of pictures to post for next week. We are headed to Sea World, a Padre's game, local Coronado shopping, wedding planning and some fun in the ocean and pool. We will be in Coronado over the 4th of July! Yay! We hope you all have a fun and safe holiday! See you next week.

Attention...Attention...Avery has an announcement!

What's the surprising news?????

Her Mommy and Daddy are finally tying the knot!

Yup...You heard right. We have finally set a date and couldn't be more excited!

We will be getting married Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Sunny San Diego!! We are just diving into the planning process, but anyone who can make it, is welcomed! We would love to share this day with as many family and friends as possible. We understand some cannot make it, so we will be having a barbeque at our house the first weekend in October to celebrate as well. We just wanted to share the exciting news! Thank you for all of your love and support over the years. We would not be where we are today without the amazing family and friends that we have in our lives.
Keep checking back for exciting updates!! We are headed to San Diego on Tuesday and will be working on some of the details. Yay!

Guess what today is????

It's Avery's 3 month Birthday!!

Dear Avery,

You are three months old today! Holy Moly Little Monkey, you are growing up way too fast! We have fallen in love with you even more as each day passes on. You are so precious to us. We couldn't have imagine where we would be today if you were not here.

In this past month you have grown so much. I took you to the doctor on Thursday, due to a cold we keep passing back and forth to each other, and you weighed 12 pounds 12 ounces. My little nugget isn't a nugget any longer. You are growing into the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Your eyes still get compliments everywhere we go. We went to breakfast at The Park one day and while daddy was parking the car, a man came up to me and said "You're in trouble! Her eyes are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. You're going to have a hard time keeping the boys away."

You absolutely love your Little Einstein activity play mat. I have put extra links on it and you goo and giggle when you are able to grab them and put them in your mouth. The lights and music that play keep you entertained for the longest time. You fell asleep the other day with your hands grasping the links. I woke you to lay you in your crib, and you kept wanting to play!

You love the sound of your own voice. You talk and talk and talk until you are blue in the face. You are so animated and we absolutely LOVE all of your stories.

Your dimples in your cheeks are very prominent now. Every time you smile, we can see you are so happy. You smile the most when we sing to you, when you are in your bath (which by the way....you only like the sink right now. You're getting too big for this type of bath, but we'll do it as long as we can!), and when we are smiling at you. You are such a HAPPY baby.

You learned to laugh last week as well. Grandpa Dale and Grandma Sheri came by to visit on Father's Day. You were playing on your mat and Grandpa leaned down and was talking to you. You busted up laughing and made us all giggle like little kids. You also LOVE to look at yourself in the mirror and laugh at yourself.

You are sleeping exclusively in your crib now! We made the goal of having you in there by your three month birthday and We Did It!! Usually you will sleep 7 hours straight, but with this cold this past week, we haven't been so lucky. Poor monkey! I think you like your SLC crib better. It may be because the room gets really dark. I'm not sure, but that's my guess.

You are also getting better about being in your carrier (kennel :)). You are so content playing with your car toys and looking at yourself in your mirror. This has made our weekly car trips very pleasant. Thank you baby girl!

This week we have introduced formula to you. At first it made your mommy feel like a failure and I even cried, but I have now realized I am helping your nutrition. I haven't been able to keep your tummy full all the time....so we are doing an afternoon bottle to help. I have noticed you are sleeping a little bit longer at night. It may be nothing, but I think it is helping.

You also LOVE going on walks with your mommy and daddy in your stroller. You are so funny and talk up a storm while in there. Usually you are sucking on your pink woobie. (Blankie.)

This past month, you have rolled over completely from your back to your tummy. You keep trying to do it again, but you can't figure out how to get over your shoulder. You are SO SO close though!

You also love to grab all of your toys and try to put them in your mouth. You are in love with your Ocean Wonders musical toy and your Leap Frog Caterpillar music toy. You LOVE music and will calm down once you here it.

Baby Avery, your mommy and daddy are so lucky to have you. We feel that things happen for a reason and we are SO blessed that you chose us as your parents. We are amazed at your strength and how independent you have become. You are so loved by so many people. Never ever forget that! We can't wait to see what the next month has in store for us. We love you Aver Baber!

Love,

Your Mommy and Daddy

Celebrating Father's Day.

Eating your hand as usual.

You LOVE tummy time now!

Play Mat Time!

You were trying so hard to crawl towards me. This is you in mid sentence. :-)

Sleeping with your finger in your mouth and your woobie close by.

Yay!!! Bed time in your crib. Look how happy you are!

But....we still love to sneak you into our bed!

Dear Dad,
I hope you had a wonderful Father's Day! I know you had to spend it in Nevada working, but I wanted to let you know that I am always thinking about you and worrying about you. Thank you for providing me with a wonderful life and for helping me become the woman I am today. I learned many life lessons from you which I am forever indebted. I hope that we can spend more time together in the near future. Your grand daughter is growing and changing every second of every day. I just wanted to let you know we love you! Happy Father's Day!

This past week: (Warning! Get ready for ALOT of pictures!)

Could another week have possibly passed by? Geez...the older we get, the faster time flies. I remember as a child how the days seemed SO long! Especially days during summer break. Now, I feel like I can hardly fit enough into one day. Some days I do not get anything done and try to figure what I just did with an entire day.

Well, here are some things we did this past week:

This past week I paid off my last student loan! Woo Hoo! What a glorious feeling!

This past week I went to lunch with my best friend Em and her daughter Grace. I love these two girlies!

This past week I watched So You Think You Can Dance. I.AM.ADDICTED!

This past week I went to the gym almost every single day. Please note...trying to run on the treadmill while still nursing your baby=A Painful Disaster. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!

This past week I got a wild hair up my bum and decided to transition Avery from her bassinett to her crib. I have had many sleepless nights! I still do not know why I decided to do this. I miss my baby sleeping next to me at night! We went from sleeping 8 hours straight in the bassinett to waking every two hours in the crib. We are slowly getting used to waking up at 2AM and 4:30 AM. (I secretly check on her multiple times throughout the night to see if she is breathing. Does this pass? I sure hope so!)

This past week we witnessed Avery grabbing her toys for the first time AND putting them in her mouth! Such a cool thing to watch!

This past week I witnessed Avery sucking her thumb for the first time. YES, I did freak out. I do not want a thumb sucker. A pacifer...YES an Thumb...NO.

This past week we got to meet my other best friend Erika's baby Coraline for the first time. She is such a beautiful baby. And to witness Nick and Sean (Erika's hubby) sit next to each other being the proudest pappa's ever...made my heart melt!

This past week we had 7 straight days of rain...Did we move to Seattle?

This past week I battled a head cold. I thought it was Strep at first, but it was a virus. (Hallelujah!)

This past week we went to the opening day of The Farmer's Market. We bought cucumbers and tomatoes that looked like they were on steroids! We ran into my Aunt Karen, Uncle Stephen and cousin Chandler! I was so happy they got to meet Baby Aver's!

This past week Nick decided to go on a detox diet! Crazy Man I tell ya! Only chicken, turkey, fish and veggies for this man. Too bad I was able to enjoy an ice cold beverage while he looked on. My oh my how the roles have reversed. Love ya babe!
This past week Nick joined a fitness club, Cross Fit. He says it whoops his butt....but he enjoys it!

This past week we enjoyed a nice dinner at The Oyster Bar. We definitely got some weird looks. A Friday night, Two Adults and a Baby, and wearing jeans and a T-Shirt. We did not fit in. But it equalled to a great night of people watching!

This past week I experienced one of the worst Friday's ever! I got pulled over due to a man calling the cops on me. (Long story short, I honked at a man in the fast lane going 45. He slammed on his breaks and flipped me off, so I continued to honk. The story could escalate some more...but I will leave it at that!) I got out of the ticket due to Avery screaming her brains off and the cop saying he actually felt bad for me because of her screaming. (Thanks Ave!) After my ticket, I got home to our SLC house and discovered an oil slick on our driveway. (Too much rain over filled an oil pan and created a huge old mess!) Then we went to dinner and had the rudest waiter. Oh well!

This past week I decided if I am negative, I will only attract negative things. (Hence, my bad Friday!)
This past week I learned how to prune rose bushes. (And boy do my hands and arms show it!)

This past week I fell in love with Nick even more!

Hope you all have a great week ahead! (Pictures of our past week to come soon!)

Mommy and her best friend!

Bubba and his best friend!

Gracie doesn't ever really pay attention.

This was the first time she grabbed the toy from me and placed it in her mouth. I was SO lucky to have my camera at this exact moment!

Tummy time. She's not really a fan, but looks like it in this pic!

Congratulations Erika and Sean!

My other best friend Erika (and Nick's best friend, Sean) just had their baby today. After 3 1/2 hours of hard pushing and a C-Section later, little Coraline Rose Lee is finally here. (One week late, mind you!!)

We can't wait to meet your little angel this weekend and get all of the details! We love you guys!

Avery's Blessing Day

Yesterday we had Avery's Blessing held at our Salt Lake house.

Since we both have an enormously big family, we only had our parents and siblings there. (Which still made the attendance of 25 people! I told you...HUGE!)

We had a family friend, Phil Thompson, bless her. He is a non-denominational pastor and did a beautiful job. Thank you Phil.

Avery is USUALLY never fussy during the day, but made a huge scene once everyone started to arrive. I put her down for a quick nap, which only lasted about 20 minutes. We needed to get things started, so mommy woke her up. She almost cried through the whole prayer for her. I was a nervous wreck trying to calm her, which she probably could sense. Sorry everyone!

The prayer was beautiful. To sum it up, it was a prayer to have God by her side, to guide her and to give her a path. We have it on video, so if you would like to hear it..let me know.

After, we had a BBQ. We had a great time. It was the first time my dad and Dee Dee and Nick's dad and Sheri got to meet each other. I think it went really well.

Avery was dressed in a beautiful long white dress with lace and flowers that I bought from Jolene's. We are shadow boxing it for her to keep.

Here are some pictures of the special day: (I wasn't on camera duty. If you have some pics, will you please forward them to me? Dad & Dee Dee especially!)

This was the first time Avery and Kennedy got to meet. Kennedy is beautiful! We can't wait for future play dates!!

Picture Time!

Well, the time has come. I am THAT mom/blogger who only writes about her kids! We have three kids: Monte, Gracie and Avery.

Monte and Gracie have been very patient as I have let Avery hog all the camera time. They are so good with her. Monte will follow whoever is holding Ave. He is such a protector. Grace love to lay on the ground next to Ave if she is on the ground.

We love our kids! Here are some recent pictures. :)

Look at her Big Blues. I LOVE them!!

Yep...she loves top flip us off.

Avery and Daddy making the same face!

Monte and Grace all tuckered out!

Ave loves her Oatmeal bath!
