What We Did This Summer (According to my iPhone)

I noticed I took more and more photos with my iPhone rather than my regular camera.

Here's a look at some things we did:

MANY trips to Hogle Zoo!

Avery's Besties: Izzy and Elle

A trip to preview parade floats with Izzy

Sunbathing (Naked, of course!) in friends backyards.

Feeding ducks at the park. (And sometimes falling in the poop too! Yuck!)

Going boating for the first time at Hyrum Dam! So Fun!
Avery got on the tube and kept yelling "FASTER!"

Playdates at Red Butte.

Hiking!

Dates to the movies.
So far, Avery has seen Tangled, Smurfs and Lion King!

Letting Ave paint her nails!

We wrapped up swim lessons.

Swimming at grandpa's.

And we even swam in our friends dog pool. (Naked, of course!)

And LOTS of goofing around!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Family Reunion

This post may be a bit confusing. And I am not trying to stir the pot, but I am also not trying to step on eggshells. After all, this is my family blog.

Stay with me if you can...

My dad has been married three times. To three wonderful women. All different. But each have brought something special into our lives. Siblings. Whether they be blood, half or step siblings, I love each and every one of them!

My dad divorced his second wife and she unfortunately passed away years ago. With her passing, we (I) lost touch with our/my step siblings. We would reach out to one another a few time over the years. Birthdays, deaths, babies, adoptions, divorces, etc. We each went through hard times in our lives and we would all try to reach out to each other, but life gets complicated. People grow in different directions and life gets busy. We have always called each other step siblings, even though the common denomintaor of our parents being married was no longer there. We had that sibling bond.

Well, in August, one of our step siblings JayDee was getting married. We (Me, Ty, Ash and Houston) were all invited to attend. We were all excited to see each other after 8 years apart. It was kind of a family reunion in sorts.

The wedding was beautiful and it was a lot of fun to catch up with each other. We were almost able to get a picture of EVERYONE togther. The bride, Jade and her groom Ryan, were busy enjoying their wedding, but we were able to sneak in a picture.

Thank you again for inviting us all!

Kennedy and Avery were instant buddies.

Let's Play Catch Up

I think it is about time I catch up before I get even further behind!

In July, Nick was able to go to Ireland for 2-1/2 weeks with his dad, brother and some clients. They are hoping this becomes an annual tradition. I'm okay with it, as long as I get to tag along once in a while! :)

I am not too familiar with all of the locations they visited, but I will let the pictures do the talking! It was amazingly warm there and they only had a few showers. (Their last trip, it rained EVERY day!) They even had better weather than Salt Lake!

I am so happy that Nick can experience such wonderful things with his dad!

We'll be back shortly

Sorry for the absence.
We have been BUSY!
Plus, my computer has been out of commision for over a month.
AND NOW, my camera is at Canon getting fixed.
I have THE WORST LUCK with electronics!

Anywho, I am getting everything organized, so get ready for a boatload of new posts and pics!

Hope everyone had a great summer!
