Our life according to my iPhone...August

I take more pictures with my iPhone than my real camera now-a-days. Here are some things we did, according to my iPhone:

We welcomed Liam to the world!

While I was still in the hospital, Nick took Avery and Ashley to breakfast. Pure Shenanigans!

Preparing to bring home brother!

Avery picked this outfit out for Liam to come home in. Unfortunately, right before we put him in the carseat to go home, he had a major explosion.

Luckily, we brought a back up. He was SO TINY here!

Avery (on the left) at 5 days old.
Liam (on the right) at 5 days old.
TWINNERS!

Nick had his Codale company party at the Bee's game. Avery was his special date that night!

Liam smiled for the first time at a week old!

His first bath.

He LOVED having his head washed.

Avery learning the dolphin! She is such a great swimmer!

Having a pick-a-nick. Trying to make her feel special in her own way!

I was fortunate to get these two to nap occaionally at the same time.

Laying on my Woobie!

Nick showing how tough he is at the CrossFit Games!

I took Ave on a Mommy/Daughter date to the zoo. We passed this car and Avery squealed: "This is my dream car!" She is a little obsessed with the color blue!

She's also obsessed with maps.

School Orientation Day.

Liam relaxing while Avery does the hard work!

"POOPED!"

Sis helping with Liam's bath.

I got mastitis and thought I was going to die! My temp reach 104!

Breakfast with cousins. Jake and Liam are only 3 weeks apart!

Gilligan. :)

And we went school clothes shopping. Avery is modeling her outfit she picked out!

Our flop with Disneyland

We flew to Newport Beach last week with Nick's family for some doctor's appointments. We flew in on Monday and didn't have any appointments until Tuesday, so we were trying to decide what we should do with our free time. I looked up how far away Disneyland was from our hotel and it was only 20 minutes. We figured we should go since it was so close!

What we didn't know was how crowded it was going to be! It was Columbus Day and apparently LA County's "UEA" type school break. I seriously have never seen D Land so crowded in my life! We purchased Hopper Passes and only made it on three rides in four hours! The Ariel ride twice and Pirate's of The Carribbean once. We had lunch and figured we would call it a day.

Liam wasn't liking the idea of nursing in public. Anytime I would cover him in my nursing cover, he'd get fussy. I don't blame him, it was HOT!

The wait time for almost every ride was over an hour, so we weren't sure how long the kids would last. It was worth a shot and I'm glad we tried, but we definitely won't be going back in October. AND we'll do a little homework to see when school breaks will be happening.

The park was decorated super cute. I was expecting a little more pumpkins, but I bet it looks magical at night. I didn't make it to the Haunted Mansion, which I'ver heard is decorated so amazingly!

We have promised Avery to go for her fourth birthday. Hopefully it won't be as crowded then! :)

We went to Balboa Pier the next afternoon and had fun walking around. It was a tad windy but so beautiful!

On Wednesday, while we were waiting to catch our flight, I was desperately looking for a park for Avery. I drove around for forever and the only thing I could find was a Nature Preserve. It turned out really cool and Avery thought she was hiking in a "forest."

Happy Birthday Ash (And Jon too!)

Dear Smash,

Happy Birthday ya old fart! ;) We are so incredibly luck to have you live so close this year. We sure do miss having you live in the basement, but look forward to our weekly Friday Fun Dates! Thank you so much for all of your help with the kids, for letting me vent to you, for letting me talk your ear off (you're the only adult I really talk to!) and for letting me ask you your advice! You are such an amazing Autnie to the kids and sister. But most of all, you're the best best friend anyone could ask for! We love you and hope you had an amazing birthday!

Love,
Bert and the kids. (Yes, Nick is one of the kids)

Jon,

Happy Birthday to you too! We love having you in the family and always love when you come over! We are so proud of all you have and are accomplishing! Thank you for taking such good care of Smash! We love you!

Love,
Bert and the kids.
