St Patty's Day

We had a super fun St Patrick's Day this year!

On Friday night, we headed to Avery's school and helped decorate a float for the annual parade held at The Gateway. We also made sashes indicating what the kids wanted to be when they grew up (Avery wanted to be a Princess, off course.) and fun wands!

On Saturday morning, we woke up extra early. A silly Leprachaun named Paddy came and played tricks on us. He decorated our kitchen in green balloons, green crepe paper, made us green pancakes, had Lucky Charms waiting for us and even dyed our milk green! He left Avery some fun things for her to wear in the parade too!

I decorated Avery's push car with green shamrocks and green crepe paper to push around in the parade. We got to The Gateway and it was SUPER windy and SUPER chilly. We had a hard time finding our school, but after walking around for what seemed like an eternity, we found them. At the very end! We waited and WAITED for over an hour to start walking. By this time Avery was not too fond of the parade and wanted to leave.

Nick had a customer appreciation event at his work, so he wasn't there to help. Luckily, my mom came to watch us in the parade and ended up walking in it with us. All while carrying Avery. Of course she didn't want to be pushed around in her cute car! :(

It was a fun experience despite the cold, wind and meltdowns and we look forward to it again next year!!

Avery dressed up for her school party! The Leprachaun played lots of tricks on them there too!

Somebody looks super tired! :)

Totally not interested in the parade! :(

Cheese!

The Gateway was SUPER packed! I didn't realize how popular this parade was!

Avery's Best Buddy from school, Sunshine.

Our School Peeps!

Ave was VERY concerned about the Leprachaun. She thought he was real and kept crying that he needed help! Poor Ave!

I love that Ave is going to be a princess when she grows up ;)
How fun to have such a big parade!
