Soccer
So...we signed up Avery for soccer. By we, I mean Nick. Tee Ball was such an exhausting experience, I wasn't too keen on signing Avery up for soccer. We have decided early on that we were going to have Avery try all sorts of activities. I told Nick, that if he was going to be traveling a lot and was planning on missing her games, that it was not a good idea to sign her up. Having a new baby, being exhausted and trying to help Avery learn soccer was not my cup of tea.
Well, he decided to sign her up on a team that was made up of 6 boys from her school. It conflicted with dance, so we had to hold off on signing her up for that during the Fall. (Boo!)
Let's just say that 3 year olds were not meant to play sports that lasted more than ten minutes. And that is pushing it! The kids love the 15 minute practice because they stand in a line and wait their turn to kick the ball into the net. But once the 45 minute game starts, they have had enough! It's funny to watch, but it is also hard to keep their interest in the game. There is a lot of bribing going on to send players back into the game.
Avery plays in her own way. She likes to meander around the field on her knees or rolling around on the field.
Thank Goodness soccer ends at the end of the month! ;)
